Terms of Service

Version effective: October 20, 2026

1. Operator and acceptance

Dibber is operated in a personal capacity by Jérôme Pirotte ("I", "me", or "Dibber"). Questions and complaints can be sent to info@dibber.pro. By creating an account or continuing as a guest, you confirm that you are at least 16 and agree to these Terms. The Privacy Policy explains data processing separately.

2. The service

Dibber is a web service for importing orienteering routes and maps, comparing route choices, and creating analysis or export files. It is available on a permanent Free plan and an optional paid Dibber Plus subscription described in section 12. Features may change, be unavailable, or be discontinued. Dibber is not a navigation, safety, medical, coaching, or timing guarantee; check maps and conditions yourself.

3. Accounts and guest sessions

  • Provide accurate information and keep credentials secure.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account and for promptly reporting compromise.
  • Guest data is retained for 24 hours and is then eligible for automated deletion. Register or sign in to retain work.
  • Do not create an account for someone under 16 or misrepresent your age.

4. Your content and sharing

You keep ownership of routes, maps, images, comments, and other material you submit. You give Dibber a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, reproduce, transform, transmit, and display that material only to provide, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service.

You must have the rights and permissions needed to upload it. Private projects remain subject to access controls; club or developer sharing makes the selected material visible to those recipients. Copies downloaded or cloned by another person may remain after you revoke access.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use Dibber unlawfully; upload malware or material that infringes another person's rights; probe or bypass access controls; disrupt the service; scrape other users' private data; or reverse engineer it except where applicable law permits.

6. Third-party services

Dibber can use Supabase, hosting and storage providers, mapping and elevation services, hCaptcha, Tally, Plausible, Google Cloud Vision, and OpenAI for particular features. Their terms and privacy notices apply to their processing. Disconnecting an integration removes Dibber's stored connection data where supported; it does not necessarily revoke authorization at the provider or remove imported copies.

7. Intellectual property

Dibber's software, design, name, and documentation remain protected. These Terms grant you a personal, non-transferable right to use the service while your access is permitted.

8. Suspension and termination

I may restrict or suspend access when reasonably needed for security, unlawful use, protection of people or data, or a serious breach. Where practical, I will explain the reason and give an opportunity to contact support. You can stop using Dibber and request deletion through support. Retention and deletion are described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided as available. To the extent allowed by law, I exclude implied warranties and indirect loss. Nothing limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including applicable consumer rights, intent, gross negligence, or harm to life, health, or body. Mandatory rights remain unaffected.

10. Governing law and complaints

Luxembourg law applies subject to mandatory protections applicable to you. Contact info@dibber.pro first so a complaint can be reviewed and corrected where possible. Nothing prevents you from contacting a competent authority or exercising a mandatory legal remedy.

11. Changes

I may update these Terms when the service or law changes. The version date will change and material changes will be highlighted in the app or website where practical. Continued use after the effective date means the updated Terms apply; you may stop using the service if you disagree.

12. Dibber Plus and paid subscriptions

An optional Dibber Plus subscription is available, together with a once-per-account free trial that starts only on your explicit action and needs no payment details. Paddle.com Market Ltd is the merchant of record for these purchases: it sells the subscription, collects payment and applicable VAT or sales tax, and issues invoices, so your payment details are not processed by Dibber and your contract for the purchase is with Paddle. Prices, plan allowances, renewal, cancellation and reversal, the 7-day payment-failure grace period, price-increase notice, and the 14-day first-purchase refund promise are set out in the Plans, Billing and Refund Terms, which form part of these Terms for paid use. Ending or losing paid access never deletes or locks away your existing projects, and exports of your own work stay available on both plans. Nothing in this section limits mandatory consumer rights.
