Settings, backups & your data

Settings tour

  • Account — avatar, name, email, password, analytics consent, and the Danger Zone (account deletion).
  • Subscription — plan, usage, trial, billing portal (see Free vs Plus).
  • Install app — get the PWA (below).
  • Appearance / Units & Formats — theme, default home view and sort, metric vs imperial, date format.
  • Tags / Templates — manage tags, and manage project templates (starting points for new projects).
  • Maintenance — regenerate map thumbnails; grant Developer Access (below).
  • Release Notes — what changed in each version (also reachable from the version badge in the top nav).

Installing the app

Dibber installs as a Progressive Web App:

  • HTTPS is required — installation won't work over plain HTTP addresses.
  • iPhone/iPad: Safari's Share button → Add to Home Screen (iOS has no install prompt).
  • Android/Chrome: browser menu → Install app, or use the in-app prompt.
  • Dismissing the install suggestion hides it for 30 days; Settings → Install app always works.

Letting support see a project (Developer Access)

In Settings → Maintenance → Developer Access you can grant the Dibber support developer account read access to all projects or specific ones — useful when asking for help with a specific route. Good to know:

  • Revoking stops future access but cannot recall copies already downloaded during the grant (see the privacy policy).

Backups vs full data export

  • Settings → Data Management → Download project backup gives you a JSON archive of projects, settings and custom tags — a convenience backup, not a complete personal-data export.
  • For access, correction, restriction, objection, portability, or complete deletion, the same screen has a copyable request template and the contact address (info@dibber.pro) — paste the template into an email and describe what you need. Don't include passwords or recovery codes. What is stored and for how long is in the privacy policy.

Deleting your account

The Danger Zone in Settings → Account deletes your account and data. Retention windows for leftovers (trash, guest data, logs) are listed in the privacy policy.
