Importing from Intervals.icu

Last updated: October 25, 2026

What this does

Connect your Intervals.icu account once, browse your activities in the import section's Connections tab, and import the one you want into the project. The list opens on the last 90 days (the range you pick is remembered while you work in the project), and each request covers a date range of up to a year. Inside the range you chose you can search by name or type and page through the results — to reach older history, move the date range back and keep searching and paging. Nothing is hidden by a row cap: the pages slice the complete list of importable activities in that range, so your whole history is reachable. The imported track behaves exactly like a file you imported yourself: analysis, export, print and sharing all work the same way.

Garmin watch owners: Garmin pushes your activities to intervals.icu automatically through its own sync, so this is the automatic route from watch to Dibber — see importing Garmin data.

How to connect

  1. Copy a personal API key from the bottom of your Intervals.icu settings page.
  2. In your Dibber project's import section, open the Connections tab, choose intervals.icu, and paste the key.
  3. Pick the activity from the list and press Import. To find older activities, move the date range back or search by name — search and paging work inside the range you chose, so reaching further back means selecting an older range (a year at a time). Your whole history is reachable this way, not just recent weeks.

Connecting needs a registered account. From a guest session, the tab offers to create one right there — your guest work stays with the account you create.

What is stored — and what is not

  • Your API key is stored encrypted on Dibber's server so the connection persists. It never reaches your browser after you submit it.
  • Only the activities you explicitly import are stored — as ordinary project tracks. Dibber does not sync your history and keeps no cache of your Intervals.icu account: every list you see is fetched on demand for the date range and search you chose, one page at a time, and is never saved.
  • Disconnect (the link next to the activity list) deletes the stored key immediately. Deleting your account deletes it too.

When something goes wrong

  • “That API key was not accepted” — copy the key again from your Intervals.icu settings page and re-paste it.
  • “The service could not be reached” — Intervals.icu did not answer; try again in a moment. Nothing is saved when an import fails.
  • “Disconnect and reconnect your account” — the key Dibber stored stopped working (it may have been rotated on Intervals.icu). Disconnect, then connect with a fresh key.
